Hello to you all! It’s Thanksgiving week! This is going to be an amazing week! I know many of you including myself plan on eating SO much food on Thursday, oh boy. Haha! I personally love Thanksgiving because it’s a day of thanks. It’s a day that we should reflect on what we have and what we are thankful for. We all have something in our lives that we are thankful for. For me, I am thankful for my family, my family including an amazing man that brightens each and every day of my life. He is my best friend. My children whom with not without, I honestly do not know where I would be today. They are my main motivators in life. I am thankful the people that I consider to be my family, even though we are not blood-related, but to me, it is no different. These people are awesome people. I am also thankful for all the negative things that have happened in my life. What? Why am I thankful for that you say?
Well, it’s all the negative that we endure in life that forms and shapes us into the people we are today. It’s the negative things that happen that make us start looking at life, people, and circumstances differently. Right? For me, that’s a huge right! To look at my life just a few years ago and to see where I am today is a huge and I mean a huge difference! I have come along way in the most positive way possible. Along the way, I have had family and friends ask me how in the world I have done it. I tell them because I don’t believe in letting things get me down. I truly find positive in everything that happens in life and I use that positive to move forward.
Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
What does this mean to you? To me, he is saying that we drive ourselves insane by thinking about something we want to do. Something we deep down want to change yet we do not. Each day that passes we think tomorrow I will start changing this or maybe next week I will be able to start working on my goal. Yet we do nothing. We make excuses. We do the worst thing possible that’s called procrastination. Procrastination makes us keep putting things off and putting things off over and over again. If we procrastinate what we want to do we will never get to where we want to get. We will never be the person we want to become. Then one day we will look at our lives and wonder why we are still stuck in the same dead-end job, why did we never get the promotion, why our life is still the way it is, and why we are not doing what we want to be doing. I don’t know if you have noticed or not, but time doesn’t stop. In fact, to me, it feels as if time gets faster and faster. How much more time are you willing to let go by before you start making a change in order to start accomplishing your goals? You cannot and I repeat you cannot keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results. You will drive yourself crazy trying to accomplish goals that way.
You have to step outside the box. You have to change up your routine. You have to be willing to sacrifice things in order to start working on who and what you want to become. And when I say sacrifice things don’t say, “Oh my goodness. I will lose time with my family.” Nope, this is not what I am saying. What I am saying is that you might need to wake up earlier in the morning. I am up at 4:45 am writing this post for you awesome people. Instead of waking up and using spare time to hop on social media to do nothing but to see what everyone else is doing, you need to be using that time to work on your goal. Maybe instead use that time to get on your blog to check for comments, or you could be writing down ideas for your goal or something else you need to work on in order to be a better you.
I am going, to be honest with you right now and you might not like it, but it’s the truth…
In order for you to get where you want to go, you are going to have to stop worrying about what everyone else is doing. You are going to have to focus on you and what you are doing and what you need to be doing in order to get to where you want to be in life. I make this statement because people waste so much time on social media trying to catch up on what everyone else is doing. And I’m not saying to never get on it. I am saying if you are one of those people who can sit there for 30 minutes flipping through your phone or computer seeing what everyone is up too then please don’t say you don’t have time to work on your goal. That 30 minutes can be transformed into working on your goal. Focus on you and nothing can stop you!
If you are not willing to stop doing the same things over and over then you will always have the same results. How does that make you feel to think about nothing ever changing? You never accomplishing your goals, fulfilling your dreams? Changing you to be a better person for you and your family? Only you are stopping you, my dear….
So are you ready? Are you ready to start working on your goals to better you for you and for your family? What are you waiting for? Start today! Make this day the day you decided to make a change! This is the day you made a change in your life and decided to stop doing the same thing over and over again. Today you start a journey in life. Trust me once you start you are going to feel so happy on the inside. You are going to feel so inspired and motivated. You are going to feel like a new person. So are you ready? No one can stop you but you!
